We ran into a bit of wet weather our first day, but didn't really get rained on. It was cold for May, though.

I love Notre Dame. While in undergard I took an entire course on European cathedrals- still have a book on Notre Dame from said course that I take out from time to time to enjoy. Maybe someday I'll be there in real life!

I'm sure you will. The thing that surprised me on the train from the chunnel to Paris was the abundance of cathedrals in the countryside. At any moment you could pretty much see at least two--the village were small but they all had their church spire. Apparently many of them aren't used as churches any more.

A few of the kids were a bit freaked out about the number of dead bodies beneath their feet while wandering Westminster Abbey, though. St. Paul's in a beautiful church as well.
