It's going to be hot again. It's rare when I come into my workspace around 7:45 a.m. and find it already kind of stuffy, but that's this week. My daughter's 3-day school camping trip ends today, and their weather has been unbelievably good.
For your perusal, two stories:
Man eats dog in protest
and since it's almost yearbook time once more...

I can't believe no adult saw the yearbook before it was published, but maybe the yearbook isn't as big of a deal there as it was in our school. We had an award-winning, several hundred page long yearbook every year, so you better believe many, many adults looked through it first.
When I grow up I want to go to Bovine University.
Maybe they could balance the beer drinking and pot smoking with photos of underage parents and kids getting tattoos behind their parents' backs. Those were features of our yearbook.
I suppose the man eating the dog makes a good point, but I don't know if I'd do that. Also, isn't he stooping just as low, defeating his purpose by doing the same thing in a way? The yearbook thing I find a bit too extreme. I think that the light should not be shined upon activities like that which promote bad behavior, especially not in a school. I love it that she says she regrets not warning her principal...I'm willing to bet that's an understatement! Ha! Thanks for your well wishes for my mono, by the way. Don't melt in the heat!
I feel bad for the teacher who supervises the yearbook. I'm sure she is going to get the most shit. And it is possible she didn't see those pictures, though I doubt it. I know our yearbook supervisor trusted her staff on what pictures to include. I doubt she checked out each and every single page. I kinda like that the senior edidor exposed what was going on in her yuppie suburban school. They probably deserved it.
